Adventure = LIFE is turning Party Cove into a Drift street: a row of Drifts tied together between boats. Guests walk it, lounge on it and trick-or-treat across it. 

Bring your boat, tie up alongside and join in.

We’re talking up to 800 lbs of people, gear, dogs, drinks, whatever your crew brings, all on one ultra-stable platform designed to turn the water into your personal hangout.

Event Highlights 👻

  • Trick-or-treating on the Drift street: kids boat-hop for candy and get a passport stamped at every treat stop.
  • Costume runway: kids at 1 PM, dogs at 2 PM, adults at 3 PM. The crowd votes by boat horn.
  • Minute-to-win-it Drift challenges: 1:30 PM
  • "What is it?" open mic: pitch the best idea for using a Drift and win a prize (2:30 PM)
  • Karaoke on the water: 3:30 to 4:30 PM
  • Try the Drift: sign up for a short ride
  • Drift or Treat photo Drift: a floating photo frame for your crew
  • Drift Scout giveaway drawing: 5 PM
  • Glow party at sundown: DJ and glow sticks on the water

FAQs

Everything you need to know for Drift or Treat 2026

Is the event really free?

Yes. It's a free community event. RSVP to enter to win a Drift Scout, no purchase needed.

Who can attend?

Families come first. Kids are welcome with adult supervision, and life jackets are required for kids at all times.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes. Enter them in the 2 PM dog costume runway, and bring a dog life jacket.

Do I need a boat?

It's boat-in only. Come by boat, or catch a ride with a friend who has one.

Safety:

Everyone on a Drift wears a life jacket. There's no swimming after dark. A safety spotter watches the Drift street all day.

Where exactly is it?

Party Cove (Devil's Cove) on Lake Travis, on the north shore near Jonestown and Starnes Island.

Can my boat be a treat stop?

Yes. Raft up along the Drift street, bring candy and become a numbered treat stop.

What should I bring?

Costumes (ones that survive a splash), life jackets for every kid and dog, candy if you're a treat stop, sunscreen, water and snacks, glow gear for after dark, and good energy.

Is there a schedule, or is it come and go?

Come and go. The family fun runs from noon to about 5 PM, and the glow party starts at sundown (about 6:40 PM) and ends at 8:30 PM.

What if the weather's bad?

We'll decide by 8 AM on the day and post the update on Instagram. A rain date of Sunday, Nov 1 is possible.
